Corcovado...

Corcovado is coming along. Although it's not full of crazy 16th and 32nd note runs, it's more rhythmically tricky...easier to play, but harder to write down. I think I'm going to start blogging when I start and when I finish a solo, and not in between...it makes more sense. If I don't have anything significant to say, there's no use in posting.

  1. Did you know Corcovado was my wedding song? Great solo on it if we are talking about the same recording, which I think we are. The piano solo is amazing as well and it is pretty non-chordal. It is common for pianists to play horn lines, but not so for horn players to play piano lines. The piano solo in Corcovado is Jobim I think - it soulds like Getz to me.
